Maybe on the flop when someone re-raised possible trips?
Should i have raised on the turn??

You're being result oriented I think.
Generally, in this type of situation when I have a big overpair and i'm getting reraised on the flop, I like a stop and go unless there's an obvious flush draw or a dangerous straight draw (like an TJQ flop). So I'll call a 3-bet on the flop and raise the turn. If he 3-bets again, I'll call down or rarely fold.

If you're going to bump it on an expensive street, bump the turn.

Its a lot easier to get a person to incorrectly call on the turn then when the hand is over.

I find this to be more true when leading rather than raising although it is generally true in both cases.
