You're being result oriented I think.
Generally, in this type of situation when I have a big overpair and i'm getting reraised on the flop, I like a stop and go unless there's an obvious flush draw or a dangerous straight draw (like an TJQ flop). So I'll call a 3-bet on the flop and raise the turn. If he 3-bets again, I'll call down or rarely fold.

but the thing is at this point i wouldnt be thinking some jackass would call with a Q3 suited or off suited based on the preflop raise

Its a lot easier to get a person to incorrectly call on the turn then when the hand is over.
Field mice are fast, but owls can see in the dark.

I find this to be more true when leading rather than raising although it is generally true in both cases.
