He limp-raised you. Slow down. CO has AA/KK.

I am a novice at limit, but I don't see any value in capping preflop.

I'm a novice with limit as well Renton. Today will be my third day.

To tell the truth here... villians show A9 and A5.. surprising really, so putting villian on KK/AA, did I play the hand fine by checking behind on the river?

meh - I am assuming the CO had the A hearts and semibluffed the turn.

Once we know the results we know you missed one bet by checking the river - but you were risking missing one (or no bets if they fold the river) bet versus having to cry-call two bets if they did have you beat.

i love the jack asses that limp raise CO and the butn is even funnier...

i'd say it's about 50/50 depending on the player whether he has some BS s00ted hand or AA/KK...

EDIT: well i probably would have checked behind on the turn and called 1bb on the river...

Yeah, I dont like the preflop cap at all with these unsuited cards, if they were suited though its a different story. Post flop, meah. He shows you credit for a decent hand so and he keeps check raising you like a retard. I may just go ahead and bet the river for fun anyway and see if he'll do it again.

Random question, is capping preflop reasonable if you think it will have a good chance of getting one or both of the blinds to fold?

As played, I'd probably check the turn and call the river for 1 bet, but I'm a TA wuss like that

Capping preflop was a waste. You could have used your relative position on the flop to great effect on this hand.

As played, I think you should have 3bet the flop and gone from there.
