all three of these hands happened in the span of about 1 hour.


hand 1:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Element187 is SB with A, A.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, Element187 raises, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 3, 5, 4 (4 players)
Element187 bets, UTG+1 raises, CO folds, Button folds, Element187 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, Element187 calls.

Turn: (8.50 BB) 5 (2 players)

villian has a straight every hand and rapes me.. how do you read the straights and make the master laydown?

there is no way laying down any of these hands is even remotely profitable. Online there is no way you can possibly read somebody good enough to make laying these down a smart idea. In fact I think if anything, you played hand 2 kind of weak and probably should have capped the flop and raised the turn. There is too good of a chance that he only has a T and is on a straight draw or he has AQ and figures he's got TPTK and is just protecting what he thinks is the best hand.

ya none of my AA KK or AK won tonight, so perhaps that could be effecting my play on hand 2.

this happens several times in under an hour, 2 of those hands were one after another ... do you not tilt ?

hard not to, villain playing crappy hands in face of raises, not afraid to cold call with gutshots .. and gets paid off.

ya suckouts i know are nothing new, bad players will always draw out on me ... but never so frequently... wake up call i guess.

i should just post the hand histories from the entire session.. nothing went my way, every hand was drawn out on..i dropped 100BB in a 3 hour session.

slowly making that back right now, but still a pain.

i just realize im whining to the wrong person, ive seen some of your posts not too long ago of bad beats and swings.

Makes me wonder if there are elements of your game making the swings a little wilder than they have to be...

i know im not the best player, and i do make mistakes, probably more then i should.


its not like i upswung that much in the same time frame, took me almost all day.
