This is on Crypto, so when you enter a street HU raising can continue until someone runs out of money.

Villain is an absolute maniac (over 20 hands: 100%/20%/8.00). Went to SD 74%, Won $ at SD 36%

1) no I check/call the river.
2) yes, stop around 7 or 8 bets.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Hand 1, I don't fault you for the river raise. Guys a maniac, his two pair could have been counterfeit, but I wouldn't go past where he re-raises.

I'm with demi on hand two.

General rule of thumb for this is that without a cap and without the nuts, i'm going in for only about 5-6 bets, hand 2 is the exception where there's only 2 hands that beat you, go as far as 8
