Hi guys
Im new to poker but already love it, just much to learn. I bought Lee Jones book on WLLH.
I have a question of it.
When i have a straight.
My hand: Jh Td
Board: Qc 9c 8c on the flop.

Has anyone read the book about that situation.
If its only checking, should i raise, what about if its calling, or raising ????

Any help on it would be great
Think its a little complex situation
I couldnt really find it in his book anywhere

At microlimits, the general rule is raise raise raise. You're more than likely to get action there and there really is no point in slowplaying.

Slowplaying is actually a thing I never did when I play microlimits, you just have to bet when you get big hands, if they fold to you, you are unlucky, but it is more than likely that you will get plenty of action.

My actions here will highly depend on position and the number of people seeing the flop.

If there are a lot of people still in play there is a good chance someone will hit the flush and I would play very causiosly, especially from early position.
With 2-3 people in the hand I would bet from any position

I'd bet all the way, if another club hit, then your straight is probably no good anymore so I'm check/folding.

Get some bets in on the flop, if you encounter resistance I would consider a turn check/raise if a non-club hits. Otherwise, it's time to think about a laydown.

Well first off burn WLLH, then buy SSH. Bet the flop, slow down if raised back at but you should be good as long as another club doesnt hit.
