This just goes to show how the micros are a different world, where logic does not apply, where you should rarely bluff, and value bet 6th pair.
Some of us recently had some downswings, but these kind of hands should cheer us up:
1/2 Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com
Stacks:
UTG ($95.25)
UTG 1 ($53.00)
CO ($19.37)
BTN ($112.00)
SB ($41.63)
Hero ($66.00)
Pre-flop: (1.5 SB, 6 players) Hero is BB
2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks
Flop: (2.5 SB, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks
Turn: (1.2 BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls
River: (3.2 BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls
Final Pot: 5.2 BB
Hero shows:
CO shows:
Hero wins 5.0 BB ( won 2.5 BB )
CO lost 2.5 BB

Standard call-down with 3 high imo. You could be bluffing.

no raise pre!
yes bet flop!
i should've bet the flop, true, but raising pf would've been a mistake.
Raising PF would be the play against a normal villain in a normal game.
The logic behind this is that against a normal foe, you raise, c-bet any flop and hope to take down the pot, having some kind of a hand to fall back on, or giving up, if you get action.
This kind of villain will go to showdown 100% of the time, so c-bets will not work, only valuebets will.
By keeping the pot small PF you forsake a tiny bit of value but can play perfectly postflop while making his errors bigger.
He will call down your valuebets 100% of the time, but he will be making bigger mistakes on a small pot even when he is drawing live because of poor pot odds.
Furthermore, when you whiff the flop, you have easy decisions oop. You check. If he bets, you fold, since such a passive station wont bet without a pair, and you wont have the odds to draw.
Most of the time, he will make the mistake of giving you a free card when he could steal.
If you raise PF, and whiff, you wont know where u stand or what to do. Do i c-bet? he will call with anything... But i may have the best hand... But what if i don't? Do i check? But i may be giving him a free card to spike a pair... And the pot is bigger, so tougher to let go of.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hang on. Did you give stats on villain? I didn't see any.
PF, you have the best hand - RAISE! Re-evaluate post, if necessary.
Punish moron for open-limping, simple game.

gotta agree with socal here.
in a 6max game when any lp opponent o/limps, i will hit them with any A. dont you think if he had Ahi beat, HE would have raised?
then, play it fast and hope he thinks youre full of crap.

villains stats:
vpip 87
PFR 0
AF 0.5
he would never raise preflop! LOL
no, i'm just referring in my explanation to this special kind of fish.
I thought it would be a kind recognisable for all, as they abound at Party's 1/2, but maybe i should've posted the stats right away. Sorry!
