I would like the know what poker room that still excepts americans has the softest and most profitable low stakes limit games. By low stakes i mean 50c/1 and less.

Pokerstars/Full Tilt due to player base.

However, I would try to bonus whore and rakeback whore UB/AP to get out of .5/1 ASAP. You cannot cannot cannot try to grind .5/1 online and think you'll be able to beat the rake. IMO it's vital to get to 2/4 b/c you can clear a ton of bonus and rakeback. You can earn more than 1bb/100 at FT with bonus/rb at 2/4.

This is a VERY false statement that a lot of people like to make. I have a VERY large sample size at .5/1 from my years of playing poker online(I'll play there when I don't feel like a challenge or there are absolutely no other good games on stars). My winrate overall is over 2BB/100 at .5/1....It is definately very possible to beat the rake and keep up a good winrate.

The problem with limit is that it doesn't take much to play a pretty big pot and you can't crush people with big edges very often. Also, thanks to Ed Miller the multi-tablers have gotten more aggressive and fold less often. Finally, it's not very much fun being the only fish at the table, playing mediumish pots against whoever happens to have a real hand this orbit (as opposed to schooling the best hand in a MONSTER pot.)

Even if you don't like NLHE, there are far far better games online unless you can find a nice small site with a fish pond (try the small sports books.)

I'm sorry dude and I respect all the stuff you say but the rake is oppressive at .5/1. Earning 2bb/100 after bonus/rb is doable but not on it's own nowadays.

I only have about 5000 hands at .5/1 since UIGEA and I ran at 1.97 BB/100...Not long enough for an accurate measure, but enough hands to determine that the players there are still terrible and the jump from .5/1 to 1/2(where the rake is still oppressive) is the biggest jump in skill while moving up in limit hold-em. Really the only limit where the rake isn't oppressive until you get above 5/10 is 2/4 and suggesting that somebody skip straight to 2/4 if they are only bankrolled for .5/1 is just a bad idea.

I would much rather play against terrible players and pay a slightly higher % in rake than to play much better players in a game I'm not really rolled for Luckily though I already did grind the really low stakes, so I am rolled for the higher games and don't have to worry about this stuff anymore.

Question in regard to this....assuming I have worked my way up to ~$3k br playing on MTT/SnG's/FR NL what level should I look at for moving to 6 max limit (having played maybe 100 hands total of limit so far) to grind out bonus's at places like UB and Vegas?

frankly, I havent seen the low stake LHE games this good in months and months.. Most of the old grinders have switched to NL post-legislation in the belief that "LHE IS DEAD" and this really just left the fish behind.

I played some absolute 2/4 a few weeks ago and I was f'n amazed.
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

Where the players retardedly loose or the ever-popular kinda-tight but still really terrible sort?

Still, if I play my old 3/6 style of full table wreckage that made me sick money the SSHE guys pretty much won't put up with my crap.
