started playing 1/2 cent at UB...mainly for practice. Played over 10,000 hands. Good play can earn 7BB/100+ there.

When I got the hang of it I deposited some more money and started playing 25/50 cent. Doubled it and moved to .5/1 doubled that and moved to 1/2 and then doubled that and moved to 2/4 and then I cashed out a bunch and currently play 1/2 on 3 tables. UB is getting much more popular and there are often over 20,000 players on. Now there are sometimes a few 2/4 tables to choose from so I may move back up if I stop cashing out.

I currently play 3/6 or 5/10 if I happen to notice a few really good tables there. Started off playing 5+1 and 10+1 SNGs for a few months before switching to 25NL ring games and then finally finding my true home a few months even later when I started playing 1/2 limit. One of these days I'll need to take a shot at 10/20 or 15/30, but I tend to cashout about twice a month so can never really build my bankroll enough

My first online poker deposits involved donking it up without a clue at the $5 and $10 NL hold'em games. Then I dabbled in PLO (0.01/0.02 and 0.05/0.10 games) and lost it all again.

Then I discovered PSO and zipped through promos playing .25/.50 fixed limit hold'em. Got myself a copy of SSHE, Pokertracker and a more books to eventually bring myself up to 2/4 (full ring). I've dabbled in 6-max and 3/6 full ring but with little success.

Currently I am learning Omaha/8 and supplementing tuition losses there with winnings in PLO
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I started out on pacific $0.50/$1.00 on party with about $100. Lost it. Deposited another $100. Lost it. Found FTR, read everything I could.

I deposited $50 about 8 months ago and played at .05/.10 on Pacific, I built it up the bankroll over and over for about 8-10 hours a day, at the beginning clawing out like $0.72 days. I am now playing $5/$10 6max, though since the 5/10 game is generally bad during the mid-day hours, I'm often quadding $3/6 - those people are ALWAYS bad.

There is no substitute for experience.
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

I started off in play money, cashed a freeroll for 0.80, played .01/.02 til I had $3, gamb00led in nl to get to $20, 25nl -> 400, etc etc.

LHE at $1000, I've been way more consistent at it, and now I'm at 2/4. And it's a rockfest.

started at 0.05/0.10 blinds NL.
busted my $120 winnings which i earned in 3 weeks in a single weekend (and i didn't even move up limits!)

took a break of 2 weeks studying and reading up FTR. tried out limit with my person $300 deposit.

never looked back.

currently playing 2/4 and 3/6 6max games because 5/10 6max pwned me.

I really started donking my money away in SNGs for about 6 months until I took my last $50 to PokerStars to learn the .25/.50 games there. Bonused whored and time passes and here I am. Never thought in my mind I could ever do it, though.

As far as my limited limit career goes. started .25-5 at pokerroom, moved to .5-1

A year and 25k hands later, still a break even player profiting only from bonuses and casino whoring...

Started .5/1 at Partypoker with 150$ (only deposited 50 though). After 20k hands, tried my hand at 1/2$, got on a downswing and bad play, then withdrew all of it to move it to my CC which took me a LOAD of time, now playing .5/1 at Eurobet to clear the bonus, after which probably moving to 1/2 or 2/4 party.

I played home games and anything goes type poker for a number of years but started playing homegame hold 'em tournaments after Moneymaker won the WSOP. Started reading every poker book I could get my hands on and playing Yahoo hold 'em for free around July '04 until I felt comfortable enough to put $50 into PP in Sept. '04 to play $10+1 SNG's and $.5-1. Went on the break-even variance rollercoaster until about February '05 when I found some message blogs to help my play. Put $500 into my account to move up to $2-4 after finding FTR. Went back on the break even-variance rollercoaster until July '05 when I finally broke out of it, cashed out my initial investment and started moving up.

I currently play PP, $3-6 6 max, $10+1 and $20+2 NL SNG's and if I have time, the daily $10+1 NL Tournament.

I started out in play money, came to FTR and learned some then started a homegame ($5 SNG type thing). Once I got to $100 I put it on PokerStars and started playing $10NL 6max...just kept learning more and more..went to 25NL...a very very short stint in 50NL and now I'm home at 100NL 6max. I also play anything from .50/1 to 2/4 LHE on occassion (reading SSH right now though)

my career started at .25/.50 NLHE being under bankrolled. I dropped down to .10/.25 NLHE with a decent bankroll and then worked my way back up to .25/.50 then tried 1/2 LHE after my friend played 3/6 6max very poorly but with results. I then went back to .50/1 NLHE then landed at 2/4 LHE and now I am currently at 3/6 6max on stars

started a year and half ago. I mostly play 10/20 6h and the reason is because I can't beat the 5/10 6H game (i'm not joking...).

Based on my skill level I should be at 1/2, but running good has kept me in over my head and in the green.

I plan on moving away from 10/20 6H to 2-tabling 10/20 10handed for a while. I think this might be a better fit for my strengths (pre-flop and flop decisions) and my weaknesses (overly defending BB and passive turn and river play 6handed).

I started playing 7-stud seriously about 3-4 years ago, while watching some old men play during a pool tournament in the backroom. I was a good pool player but I never was good enough to best in the room. So I started playing stud for a few years, killing about every game I played. My best friend was a card shark so he kind of showed me the ropes. About 1 1/2 ago, I heard about online poker and deposited a couple grand and started to play 3/6 on paradise and planet poker. I was god gift to texas holdem and ran that up to about 6k. Then in about 2 weeks I lost it all. It was rigged and I was never gonna play again. Well, I dont take failure very well and decided to research a bit and then decide weither it was worth taking a shot at it again. This is when I found FTR Aug 2004. I played everything from NL cash to SnG's. I really liked PLO and decided to really learn how to crush the game. At some point I started playing tournaments and won a $100 rebuy holdem event at a casino and I was instantly rolled. For the next few months I mainly played stud and PLO live and Texas holdem online. Ive never really played much microlimit games, I played .5/1 for a few thousand hands, then switched to NL cash games and MTT's. Later in life I decided to switch to 2/4 LHE, after all I killed the 3/6 and 5/10 casino games, but it was a lot toughter. It wasnt untill about April or so in 2005 untill I realized how bad of a player I was at texas holdem. I was better than my opposition and that was enough to make money. So I spent the next 4 months matching my table hours with study hours, sometimes spending more time off the tables than on. It was only then, when I considered myself a good player.

I am sure that is more than ya'll wanted to know.
