I am not much of a limit player but I badly need to become one. The casino i go to doesnt have no limit so this leaves me in a bind. I know that it could be profitable considering the players that are there, but i need something to kick it off with. Does anyone here have any advice on limit, any good books, Fnord i know this is one of your specials, do you have any ideas for me?

Doyle Super System has a pretty thorough section on Limit. There are a few other books available as well. Where are you where the casinos don't spread no limit? Florida indian casinos?

Mony B and I both live in the same area. We are way up north in Minnesota. The closest casino that might have No Limit is Mille Lacs which is too far away.

the major difference between limit and no limit is you can't control the pot odds you give someone else. so most of the time everyone will be getting good odds to draw against you. this works both ways because you will also get good odds to draw against someone else as well. bet for information. usually people won't bluff at lower limits, and if they raise then chances are they have a good hand so you better hope you can beat it to call. most mediocre players have the problem of "oh it's only one more bet...might as well call it."

I play in a Minnesota indian casino, lol. All the players there are all fish but last night i sat down, and a guy with T2o limped got a gut shot on the turn and beat me with kings to hit the straight on the river. I mean these guys will stay in just to make sure they never miss a hand. I know im supposed to camp out and wait for a while to hit a monster, since i garentee that i will for sure get callers and prob take down a huge pot, which is my strat for when i go agian tonight to open some whoop ass. thanks for all the replys, i was just wondering if i could get some quick fixes for tonight, ill so a google search and ill report later how the table full of call stations works out. Also, minnesota doesnt allow no limit, i dont know why but rules are rules.
