although with my reads as all villains in this hand play junk, gametime has all of them pegged at playing over 60% of hands out of over 100.

my flush draws have been being ripped apart lately by someone with a boat, hence my lack of aggression.

how bad is this play after a day full of flushes being cracked ??

You must pop that river once. Every other street looks good to me.

i was thinking about doing that, but after the night i had last night, coupled with today, seems my flushes/straights/sets come in second ... im not an expert on variance, but is this normal ?

seems to happen more often at the tables i find where 40% see the flop and at least 3 or 4 players play over 50% of their hands ... i think to myself, this has to be a good table, then i just get pummeled with second best hands against villians who regulary play K5o . just not my day i suppose...

i guess what im rambling about is , getting your hands cracked enough, does it make any of you play different ?? ie: timid/weak.

I get a lot of hands cracked i play like a pussy, if I’m running real goot, I play too aggressive sometimes, it can go either way... hardest part about poker is staying constant with hands (in a mathematical way, stronger opponents you'll have to deviate from straight forward math play and get fancy time to time)...

PS Fnord I’m addicted to your damn signature mp3...

-65BB (did I do the math right) is a pretty regular swing for me. Then consider that I probably am a better player. I see nothing to panic over here. Try to play the best you can, avoid mistakes, avoid playing scared, pick good tables and leave bad tables. The results will follow.

With a poster in there I'm even more inclined to raise pre-flop unless the table is full of cold callers (6+ way flops every hand.)

you have no idea....I listened to it for 5 hours straight (on repeat) yesterday. I almost went insane.

But I know what you mean...I went on a huge losing streak recently. AKs lost 5 times in a row, I was only winning about 50% with AA, and every TTP was beat by a straight or a flush. All my good hands cracked. And I wish I could say it was because of poor play, but when I'm betting the whole way and they river something it's hard to blame myself. But you can't back down. You can't change your play because of some bad beats. If people are playing loose, don't respond by being passive.

I focus on tracking good players. Bad players come and go. Also, I have my particular table selection methods...

You were running really good. I've had stetches of days where I just can't seem to leave a table without being up $100.

why good players... why not avoid them and continue fighting it out with mostly river rats?

To avoid tables full of them and increase my chance of picking a good seat at the table.
