Difference: In Omaha you get 4 cards, in Holdem you get 2. Often Omaha is Pot Limit (PL), while Holdem is frequently No Limit (NL).

One isn't "easier" than another. It comes down to table selection, you can find good omaha tables and you can find good holdem tables. If you're going to play read SuperSystem2. There are a couple other Omaha books, which a search (or a kind poster) may provide.

I suspect if you find hold'em too difficult you'll find Omaha more so, because there are far more variables. On the plus side, mistakes are seldom so "bad" as you invariably have more outs.

Either way, if you want to play either you're going to have to commit to studying and gaining experience with discipline and intelligence. If you don't, you'll just end up being fodder for the rest of us and you'll go busto (harsh but true - poker has no fast track, no get out clauses).

^^ what he said

plus (I forgot) Welcome to FTR. If you're serious, this is a good place to learn (holdem more than Omaha, but maybe we can work on that)

shrug, id like to mix it up between these games *cry*

but i imagine it will take too much time to learn and holdem is just so deep in itself

If you want to start learning a really straightforward game, try Razz. Omaha isn't too hard, but learning to use just 2 of your 4 hole cards (the only number you can use) can take practice.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

OP and his "newbie" buddies are all apparently setting up an elaborate spamming trap:

I think that once you learn Omaha you will get the difference between both of them by yourself. You can find many places to learn the differences and rules of the poker variations, one example http://www.onlinepokerireland.com/ is it is an ugly site but it explains the variations clearly
