So I moved over to play 6-max quite a lot lately, and I'm finding it quite profiting. Something I'm not really comfortable with are those middle-range//middle-low-range hands --- when and how to play them for example.
I'm sorry about the handhistories, but the converter doesn't seem to support the site I'm playing at. (Crypto)
Hand 1:
Do you try to take a flop with this kind of hand behind a call-station? At a full table I would only play this one behind a lot of callers, but at 6-max? Would you raise it?

Tricky situation, but villain is around 50/30 after about 20 hands. Again - too aggro, or a decent attempt to isolate the soft player? Do I make the call preflop?

Hand 8:
Should I force myself to play this kind of hands? I don't really want to hit the call-button, but the opponents are mainly soft. Villain is around 50/25 and goes to showdown >50% of the time -- opinions on the flop-play? I figure folding to a re-raise and betting a turn that doesn't look threatening. Would folding to a 3-bet be too weak vs these aggros?

BTW, what's up with the "calling-down-the-check/raiser"!!??
Pretty much every time I check-raise a donk on the flop, they become showdown-commited!

general rule is never open-limp, if you're going to play it, raise it. Otherwise, call behind limpers if it's playable.

I think this comes from that fact that many weak players can't bear the thought of being bluffed out. So even if they are almost certain they are beat, they will often call down to the showdown just in case you were bluffing.

Yey, that much I get It's more a question of the additional hands that might be playable.

Hand 1 - not big on calling here and with a single UTG limper I usually find it's not worth my raise unless he's a complete moron PostFlop
Hand 2 - meh...I dont mind the call.
Hand 3 - I don't play this hand UTG
Hand 4 - since you decided to raise PF you have to call/raise. If he's apt to carry blind wars too far but is weak I'm re-raising and looking to hit/bluff the pot.
Hand 5 - You're out of position for this hand. On the button I'd attempt a steal with it.
Hand 6 - fine
Hand 7 - Fine
Hand 8 - PF...fold. Post flop...fine (I may or may not fold to a 3-bet depending on just how laggro the guy is)

|
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

Hehe, that's pretty much exactly the spot I'm in - which is why I'm asking! I think/thought I read somewhere about Q7 and 6-max, which is the only reason I played it. But now I can't seem to find it! Maybe it just was my subconscious working me so that I would win that pot
