When you're on the downswing, that is. But when you get on the upswing, it's f*$(ing AWSOME!!!
Sunday and Monday were horribly poker for me. Every big hand I was dealt or flopped, would either not get paid off, or would take a bad beat. I played 660 hands this afternoon, with similar results to Sunday and Monday, down 60 BB. I took a dinner break and came back to play another 330 hands and finished up 33 BB on the day. Those 330 hands were an absolute blast, I only took one bad beat, and flopped numerous sets, kept hitting flushes, and got paid off non-stop.
Example
The victim here is rock so I only called PF
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: stevedonel is Button with Kc, Qc. UTG posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG (poster) checks, 1 fold, MP1 raises, 2 folds, CO calls, stevedonel calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls.
Flop: (10.50 SB) 6c, 9c, 7c (5 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, MP1 folds, CO calls, stevedonel raises, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, CO calls, stevedonel calls.
Turn: (11.25 BB) 4d (4 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, CO calls, stevedonel calls.
River: (15.25 BB) Qh (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, CO bets, stevedonel raises, BB calls, UTG folds, CO folds.
Final Pot: 20.25 BB
Results below:
BB has 9s 9h (three of a kind, nines).
stevedonel has Kc Qc (flush, king high).
Outcome: stevedonel wins 20.25 BB.
But wait there's more, standard play but it was the pot of the night for me
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: stevedonel is UTG with Th, Td.
stevedonel raises, 1 fold, UTG+2 (Dumbass) 3-bets, 2 folds, MP3 (Fishy) calls, 1 fold, Moron calls, 2 folds, stevedonel calls.
Flop: (13.50 SB) Ts, 7d, 2s (4 players)
stevedonel bets, Dumbass raises, Fishy 3-bets, Moron calls, stevedonel calls, Dumbass calls.
Turn: (12.75 BB) 9d (4 players)
stevedonel checks, Dumbass bets, Fishy calls, Moron calls, stevedonel raises, Dumbass 3-bets, Fishy calls, Moron calls, stevedonel caps, Dumbass calls, Fishy calls, Moron calls.
River: (28.75 BB) 7s (4 players)
stevedonel bets, Dumbass folds, Fishy raises, Moron 3-bets, stevedonel caps, Fishy calls, Moron calls.
Final Pot: 40.75 BB
Results below:
stevedonel has Th Td (full house, tens full of sevens).
Fishy has Qs As (flush, ace high).
Moron has 3s Ks (flush, king high).
Outcome: stevedonel wins 40.75 BB.
Two players betting/raising flush draws, I love these two
Started out with a VP$IP in the high 12s, and PFR around 9. Finished with 12.3 and 6.87. I've never kept it that tight before, but I wasnt getting to many marginal hands; it was mostly raise or fold.

How is it bad? BB check 3-bet, so I have to consider the possibility of the Ace flush. When he checks the river, and the new player starts betting, the odds of the Ace flush go down.
Basically, my thinking is the only hands calling me is typically the ace flush (which will 3-bet again), a set, and possibly 2 pair.
Help correct my thinking, seriously

Waaaaayyyy tooo soon to slow down with the second nut. Heck, I'd pop the turn once with any 2 clubs. With all of the loose calls you'll get on the turn you're throwing away too much value. Even if he has the nuts ~50% of the time the turn raise is probably profitable and that kind of thinking is so weak/bad.
