I would just like to start a poll for the different variances of online poker rooms. Ive been playing limit holdem now on 3 diff poker rooms and have kept track of my stats with poker tracker. I play 5/10 limit. I have over 100 thousand hands so im not basing this on just a few hands here and there. But my BB win rate is significantly different on one of poker rooms. Can any one guess which room ? lol. Ive read different opinions of some people stating this is fixed or so on and so on which i really dont think. However IM not a poker genius but a pretty solid player. And even though I do win at this other site it is still a small BB/100 compared to the other two sites. With the other two sites Im a little over 2BB/100 while at the site that seems to have an awful lot of suckouts im just under .5BB/100. To me that seems a pretty discrepency. I luv that site becuase it has an awful lot of fish but too many suck outs to seem feesible. Now could it be that there are better pokoer players on these other sites and they dont see to the river as much? Sure. But you want the fish calling You down, thats what is suppose to make you the most money. And when i talk about suckouts im talking about top two pair getting beat by gut shot straights or someone catching trips or a boat on river. Jsut today I floped two pair Q and J. Some idiot cathes the Jack while holding a 9. He plays these cards becuase they are suited so fine. But runner runner two nines on the turn and river? HHmmmm. It just seems to happen too much on one site compared to the others. But the reason i hate ot leave the site is becuase there are so many fish. Almost every table has at least half hte table filled with dead money. Im hoping the variance will turn around so i keep going back. Any way jsut seeing if any one else has seen this or has anything to comapre it to with the same kind of hand history i have.
Thanks.

Poker can heve some really long term variance though. I mean, you've played over 100,000 hands, yet you're still in the black. See what I mean?

I didn't read your first post because there are no paragraphs but?
Maybe it has something to do with quality of the opposition?

It's obvious isn't it? {insert site name here} put the Doom Switch on you. Only plausible thing that could have happened.

as for a real post:
you can run good or bad over 100k hands so your winrate won't be the same. More than likely the site you are getting sucked out on alot plays different and thus you don't adjust, or tilt as a result of this different play.
I could go on and on about how wrong you are but i think playing HU for way to much money says way more than i ever could.
Damn i didn't even make it half way through that post without turning it into crap.

Why is this in the HS forum?
Anyway, it is likely due to the fact that different sites play differently. The play of Party Ring is different from the play of Stars ring. You probably aren't adjusting your game well to how your tables are playing. Another possibility is that you just can't play against one type of player as well.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.
