I have a question about 5th street. I often catch a straight or a nut flush by 5th street, and find myself facing a paired board. If I bet out with the made hand, and get raised, is it always correct to call and not reraise? I mean if I disregard the full house possibility every time with a nut straight or nut flush, is it +EV? I find myself always calling and feel like I'm not maximizing value. I often have the winning hand. Did I answer my own question?
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Reads are everything in these spots. In small stakes games, I'm more inclined to 3-bet because there are so many donks. That said, I think looking for a hard and fast rule to follow every time is -EV, or at least less +EV than trying to make good reads.

What A'aag said. This is very situational, and I think there is no universal answer. Some factors I would consider would be:

1) Who raised? If it was a new villain (let's say the guy betting the whole way just called your bet, and someone else raises), I think you have the best hand (especially if your flush/straight is the nut flush/straight).

2) A straight is usually less obvious than a flush. I give more respect
to someone who raises when a flush card hits.

3) Finally, do you stand to gain more by just calling? Let's say you bet
the river, get 3 callers, and someone raises. By just calling, you stand
to gain up to 3 more bets from the callers. By raising, you may force
the callers to fold, and worse yet, will definitely get capped by a boat.

If 5th street pairs the board and you hit a straight or flush at the same time, think back on the flop and turn. You will see a boat here almost every time if you have two or more people capping the flop and/or turn with their set(s). If not, you are good for a reraise but I agree with the earlier posters that a call is better with the possibility of overcallers.
