JB, normally i would bet this river, but i'm facing 3 loose opponents, any one of whom is capable of playing a weak ace and not raising it.

I rep the ace on the turn and nobody flinches. I have 3 callers, anyone with the ace won't fold the river.

I think betting the river could go either way, but I'm still flip-flopping about which play..

I'd bet the river in this situation every time. Against players as loose passive as this it's a value bet.

I'd check. I don't see a big opportunity for extra bets, and if a pretty-good hand can take 10BB it's fine with me.

I would check behind on the river also. It's not one player you're up against, it's 3, and KK is vulnerable. Betting into them will get anyone with an Ace to call, so what's the point?

Ok I've been runing this damn hand through my head for about a day now and I know I should have bet this river.

As I run through it I can think of a million reason to bet this river. The only reason I can think to check it out is because i'm on a downswing and i'm playing even weaker than normal.

exactly mike, i told you this yesterday. the CORRECT thing to do is to bet. But when emotions role you outthink yourself and become more timid. We all make these mistakes after we've had a big downswing. The most important thing was you won.

Do you fold to a check raise or make a crying call, of course you have to make a crying call because of the pot size. Also with 3 others in the pot you figure 1 or 2 are on a draw, so they fold anyways. Remember you are playing low limit Party Poker where you are not going to get check raised by any ace on the turn, of course a good player might do that but not your run of the mill Party player. Good hand to discuss.

Seems like one of these lappy guys always has A4. I would probably have checked, since there were 3 of them. If two call, you probably are beat. If there were two, I probably would have bet. But depends on the read, of course.

I struggle with this a lot. Sometimes it's easy to give up this value for peace of mind if you are, in fact, beaten. But, I think if you forgo this bet regularly this can be a bad leak. This pattern also telegraphs passiveness and encourages more cognizant players to try to mess with you.

I'm probably coaching myself here...thanks for listening.

Well I have to wonder how many of the 3 were on a draw, who was on a weak pair, and who possibly hit the ace.

I don't think that these weak players would check-raise the river with a weak ace often enough to NOT make a bet profitable. But I do belive the weaker hands will over call often enough to work out in my favor.
