You were thinking you were getting check-raised on the turn of hand 1 (I'm assuming), but you still continued to play it aggressively. Even if you were raised here, you still have four outs. I don't know if it's technically a value bet or not, but I still think it's necessary. Why raise pre-flop? I want a lot of people in the pot with this hand if I play it..
Would you have called this one all the way down if c/r 'ed on the turn?

I've been trying to work on not quitting my betting if I think there might be a monster out there.
Hand 1, I probably call a turn raise hoping implied odds will take care of the difference if I am beat and fill up. (Thin, I know.)
I probably check/call a safe river card. (Which, by the way, this was not...just by raising the turn, he may have gotten me to check/fold the best hand on the river.)
Like I said, I was feeling feisty. I don't usually raise here.

You played good. Although raising 8Ts MP2 is something to think about.

im probably out of line and say it is a bit retarded, i think this play works at the 3/6 level.
at the 2/4 straight poker usually wins the most money.
