full super tightweakass table at UB. villain has been stealing with every opportunity he gets, and about 2 or 3 times before this hand he/she has succesfully stolen the blinds with a flop followup. my plan was to be aggressive the very next hand regardless of what i got....it happened to be my BB.

I don't like your decision pre-deal.

Did you know he would go so far with his hands?

is gutsy the same as stupid? I admit i play back at people and used to do this from time to time, but it DOES hurt your winrate. Why would u decided to do this before you got your cards?

previous ordeals he didn't get much resistance. this is a table full of weak tighties. so i don't know how often he goes to showdown cuz he usually took the pot on the flop.

i figured if i played back at him he would assume that i actually had a hand and not be bullshitting him, and fold on the turn.

well...at the very least i would create a crazy table image and loosen everyone up.

Actually, I prefer to do this when I get a read from the opponent or when the flop texture looks like it might have hit you and not him. There should be some kind of a sign, some good condition to let you know that you are correct in doing this.

i probably couldnt fire till the river against a guy who has been in a lot of pots, but if you got the read and money go for it i guess.

I got caught doing a similar move the other night when the aggressive raiser/stealer hit top pair on the river and called my river bet bluff; I thought the same thing and it did loosen up the table somewhat when I entered the hand. However, I think it ended up hurting me short term because I tightened up on my raising standards, only to have extra cold callers and challenges from the blinds (Ex. 9,9 raise, A,x coldcallers, blinds call, hit Aces). In the future, you may consider just moving tables.

commentary:

ok...that's it, he's been stealing way too much and now he wants mine, i don't care what i have, i'm just gonna take this with aggression.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, J.
6 folds, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls.

meh, he probably standard bet on the flop for him, i'll just raise it again.

Flop: (6 SB) 4, 4, Q (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

meh, standard bet on the flop for him, i'll just raise it again.

Turn: (5 BB) 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

well crap! oy....damn it....well...i've come this far...he might be one of those players who test me to see how far i can go and auto bet the river when i check to show weakness. well...the pot is 7BB....so i might as well fire one more.

River: (7 BB) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero desperate-bets, SB folds

W00T!

I dont like your predecision to do so and you should worry less about how others play, but only as you play.
