BB is tight, not many hands but probably has a clue
MP3 is a loose/passive player hooked on rivers like a crack addict.

Damn that turn CR.
But you gotta do it, you can't call down often enough to be profitable.
I tend to go into call down after that, i'm working on how to respont do that raise/cr.
Hey do you know if there are turn raise stats in PT? I want to know what's happening to my stats after i'm raised on the turn..
(i think we covered this already and the answer was no)

It's still no, but I might become inclined to make it yes...

It's an Access DB, someone who was a programer for Microsoft might have enough of a background to make something like this happen. You wouldn't happen to know anyone would you?
Pokertracker_Pat says they are working on a MySQL version, which I would LOVE, then Pokertracker could be really fun

F'n pointless. MSDE (SQL server light) would make their product so much more useful. Poker databases get large enough to justify putting away the kiddie toys and bringing out the big guns.
MS-SQL 7 was the best product Microsoft ever shipped after NT. Pure genius. Poach the best and brightest from Oracle, throw in Jim Gray a few other eggheads and some caffinated Microsofties. Then focus them on putting out kick ass core database with feature parity w/ SQL 6. No random features or cross-group intergration muck to get in the way. Just a rock solid blood and guts database that kicks the living shit out of everything else on the market.

The only question i have to ask is:
You are him, you have AQo, with the queen of diamonds; how would you play the turn in this situation other than the way he did(forgetting that you cold called preflop...)?
(substitute Qd for Ad as well)

There isn't a cap on the DB size for MSDE?
We use it for an apps here and the db's roll over @ 1 gig.. maybe thats just something they built into the application.
I like the idea of MySQL because I have a bit of background with it. They can't bundle MySQL with the distro of poker tracker so it has to be installed/setup seperatly. They are going to have a support nightmare if/when this happens.
MSDE they can bundle with the install of poker traker making the install much less of a headache. Not to mention MSDE is easier to install than mysql.

Not sure, I've always worked with the full deal. Right now I think the cap for Access DBs is much lower. Not to mention that SQL would run a lot faster as your database grew. PokerTrack can be pretty slow once you get to around 100k hands.

Fair enough. But he came in from the blinds so I have to put him on a pretty broad range. Easily could be a flopped set or 2 pair waiting for a blank turn. Also consider the chances he runs a pure bluff with crackboy in the hand who he likely knows is going to call him down.
But I was thinking along the same lines and didn't like this laydown too much either.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/msde/pr...o/features.asp
MSDE caps @ 2 gig.
Access2000 can cap @ 2gig also.. although as you pointed out MUCH MUCH slower once you start store alot of hands.

I'd agree with you that both are pretty good laydowns if you have your reads right. On the first one I'm more likely to call down b/c I cant trust a player for the life of me. Its something I'm working on fixing though.
Second hand: probably pretty good, small pot HU is an easy fold. If he was smart I'd let you do the betting for me....

For someone who hated their job, that sounds downright passionate.
BTW I beleive this is one of the biggest leaks in my game. Taking AK or AQ to far.

Is that guy still part of the forum??
