Low limits you can be loose in limping preflop (avoid total garbage hands though). Post-flop only put money in with quality hands and get paid off.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Drawing to/stacking off with non-nut hands. 56s is useless in Omaha, except for very shorthanded.

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
Chasing draws when the price is not right

not being able to lay down hands after they turn from best to 2nd best

In O8, calling hands that are 2nd best in both hi and lo vs 2 players, each holding the nuts in one direction

Anywho, tight is right, but you have to know what is tight. Loving 1-2 pair will only make you broke. The better hands are those that can earn 3/4 or more of a pot (in hi/lo). You want your hand to be littered with good draws. Sets are great hands in hold em, they inch toward drawing hands in omaha though. Raising hands like AAxx with no connection with the other 2 will be a big downfall.

If you're learning the game, observe others and what they're doing, you'll usually spot one or 2 good players at your table.

1) Overvaluing AAxx when xx does not work well with the AA or each other.

2) Overplaying a set including Top Set.

3) Overplaying a straight esp when the flop is suited or there is heavy aggression.

4) Overvaluing any boats less then Top Boat.

4) Drawing dead to second straight/boat/flush

5) Drawing to a flush or straight on a paired board.
