Should I have 3bet the turn? I didn't, trying to be sneaky, but I think I should have.
Can I safely cap the river?

you hit a boat on the turn, 3 bet it. if he has a higher boat so be it.. more then likely he has something lame like Ax
im going with cap the turn if you can and call the river.

I definately 3-bet the turn, because you can be reasonably sure he has an ace and you want him to have to pay for the chance to river a boat. Unless I have a good read that the guy is a maniac, I don't think I cap the river...A lot of hands have yours beat and the SB definately thinks he has something good.

In a hand like this, I give a lot of people credit for ATo. It's a hand I find people both limping and raising with in every position. The 3rd heart that made him 2 pair probably scared him off a bit, but when his boat was made, he saw you as a flush pumpin' the pot, so he was raising too.
Then again, I give a lot of people too much credit, but I still wouldn't cap the river.
Just my thoughts, interesting hand.

if you think the guy has AT then why would you 3bet the turn and not cap the river?
i'm sure SB only has trip aces with a good kicker.
personally i like the call on the turn because it encourages SB to bet out the river instead of checking to the raiser.

On the turn, there is a smaller range of hands that beat us. 3-bet for value and to define his hand.

Oh baby... yeah.
Also I don't think calling the turn nets you more, calling the turn and then raising the river is suspicious so I think he'll frequently just call a raise.
