Tonight a friend of mine asked if I would play poker with him at the local casino.
He doesn't know quite the level that I am at, and thinks very highly of his ability to beat the local 3/6 game.
I haven't played below 20/40 in B&M for months, so I thought it might be an interesting outing.
I made $140 in one hour, winning almost every pot I entered... (which wasn't many)
At one point I asked my friend what he thought the over/under on how many hands I played in the next 20 minutes would be. He said 4. I told him I would give him even money at 2. I played 1. (from the BB, which I won.)
Many of you have grown used to my hand posts of ridiculous agression at online poker.
So here is a hand I would like to share from 3/6 tonight.
Button plays most hands preflop. I have never seen him raise without the nuts.
In fact, heads up, he has called just down with both quads and the nut flush since I have been at the table.
(You don't meet this player at 3/6 online)
I raise UTG with A Q
4 players call, including button.
Flop is Q 9 4
I bet, MP calls, button raises, I call, MP calls.
Turn is J
I check, MP bets, button raises, I fold.

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

so he raises set of 9s/4s and calls down with quads? That's weird
