Its pretty thin. If you think that your 9 would be good (therefore he doesn't have a K -- ignoring that villain might limp some 8x junk), you should fire a turn bet and not let him have a free look at the river to beat you.

Folding to a threebet should be a no-brainer. Villains will just call with Kx, even villains with K3 or K8 are just calling a majority of the time -- particularly weak ones like the kind who limp under the gun -- If he threebets, you better run like hell.

Against the right players this is a solid river value bet, and I do this often. Second pair top kicker on the end when your opponent has shown weakness is a fairly strong hand heads up at a short table. I often recommend against folding to raises on the end to prevent opponents from getting the idea that you can be bluff-raised. In this case, folding to a 3bet isn't so bad and may actually help you gain some value metagame-wise (but against a very strong, ovbservant opponent, you should probably call no matter how sure you are that you are beat).
