You always have to be aware that boats made by low pocket pairs in Omaha arn't as strong as their counterparts in Hold 'em becuase there's a greater chance the other guy holds an A and an x(x pairs the board) or the bigger pair. The situation is hard to get out off but I just run a good rule of thumb not to over bet these hands.

Omaha High is about the Nuts.
Wth that AA on the board, you can almost be assured you hand won't be good on the turn/river if anything falls.
This is a fairly typical happening when you make the small end of a boat.
Why the check on the flop?

In Omaha there are many hands that beat you hand,
any Ax
pair of queens
Depending on my knowledge of the other player I would either fold or call the flop

Also with the amount of money you have there is nothing you can do. A check/raise there doesn't help b/c your AI only costs him $6 after he just bet $22. When you don't have that much money and you're gonna put it all in the pot then come out betting.

But not really. I play a lot of O8. In this game, if you've got a great draw, like the nut flush draw and 7 people in the hand, that's a HUGE HUGE overlay. Even moreso if there was a raise preflop. The key is being able to recognize those situations and extract the most value from them possible.

Omaha does involve some luck, but it's not ruled by it. It's just that people don't understand what hands are likely to hold up. If you see a high board pair - higher than whatever trips you've made - and your opponent is calling or raising you, he already has at least a set. His outs to make a better boat than yours are through the roof because he's got three other cards in his hand that may not include any pairs, plus the turn gives him another card that isn't part of your trips. So he's got one out for quads, 9 outs on the turn to make a higher boat, and 12 outs by the river for same. Yeah he's a dog to your low boat, but not much.
To me Omaha is a game of betting when you're on the right end of that equation - when there's a pair of aces out, you already have made a boat with one of your other cards, and when the other guy has a lower set to go with the aces and thinks he's invincible. It's not all that different from people who are still learning hold 'em and think two pair is good when there's a pair on the board, and they've paired an undercard. They just don't understand the likelihood that their hand is already beat, or will be very soon.

A "bitch counterfeiting?" Is that different than a regular one? LOL
I got somewhat lucky in that the guy who runs my local cardroom used to play Omaha (and HE and other games, but mostly Omaha) professionally. He placed in the top 10 in one of the O8 events in 2002 at the USPC.
