I like to play bth of these variations, however I find it hard to switch between the two smooothly (playing one game then quiting to join the other). Yes I'm a nut so I won't ask if I'm crazy.
But, are there tricks to shift the gears without much mental delay?

Lol ... I know the feeling. This can get me in trouble when playing 8 game. It seems to help me to focus more on the hi plays in H/L when I am switching between the two. I know that is 'ignoring' half the game. Have at me!

playing mostly high hands in O8 is an almost guarenteed way to lose money.

TLR ... sorry I was not more clear. I didn't say PLAY only hi hands, I said focus on them. IMO the hi end requires a lot more thought. The lo side is not like Razz or Stud H/L where you need to keep track of other people's board cards. I simply play the lo side a lot tighter and don't look to get creative. Am I playing A23K? ... Hell yeah. And this is only when switching between Om H/L and Om8 in 8 game.

OK, I did not get you the first time. Still I dont think this is a good strategy for O8, the most profitable O8 hands are those that have a strong low options with options to winning the high, not the other way around
