Another post prompted this thought
Why is it that on Party/Empire at the 10/20 tables that, at any given point in time, at least 25% of the players don't even have 10BB in cash at the table?? I didn't notice that at UB.
Is there some book out there that says..."In case you get a nut hand, make sure you DON'T have enough money in front of you to cap every street.?"
These same players have the $$, cause they keep adding $200 quickly when they go bust.
I mean a guy had AKs and flopped a flsuh the other day and he had all of $23 dollars in front of him in a 10/20 game.
Am I missing something here??

Happens more often at B&M. I see 5BB and under buy-ins all the time.
You seem to be under the mistaken impression they're playing seriously...
BTW, consider the table/seat selection implications of this.

Good point,
I try to be right of tight small stacks, and left of loose small stacks.
If I'm left of a loose small stack who will reload, I think I'm getting the best of it.
1. I sometimes get free cards heads-up
2. When I have the worst of it, his short-stack minimizes MY loss
3. I find that weak/loose players often bluff when low on cash - perhaps with the misplaced thought that I'll take their all-in much more seriously than I should.
I realize I'll lose some BB against this guy when he's all-in and I win, but if he's reloading then I consider it a small downside.
Is my thinking here off?

Not so much bluff, often they'll look for some lukewarm position to get in all of their money. Quite often you're getting the best of them though.
