This guy was insanely loose on 3rd street, playing almost any 3 cards that had remote backdoor potential. After 3rd, he would chase weak hands with little chance of winning at a showdown. He made an absurd 5th street raise-bluff with absolutely nothing on a prior hand against me, but this was about an hour ago and he seemed to give up on these after it failed. Should I fold this hand in hopes of saving a bet?

Not betting the river here against a calling station is terrible. I might even value bet one high pair in this spot.
