I am truly lost in the blinds at this level.
Maybe I have been reading tooooo many posts about 2/4 3/6 and higher limit games but I have really been trying to steal a decent amount (sorry no PT stats) and have been defending quite a bit as well. However, at this level players:
1. Do not try to steal
---when they have a hand they raise
--when they have marginal holdings they call
--when they have jack crap they fold
2. Do not try to defend
---when they have a hand they raise
--when they have marginal holdings they call
--when they have jack crap they fold
Sure, seems like I have it figured out right? Well, I do preflop. However, I am completely lost postflop. I am getting donked into a ton, c/r on the turn a ton, and I just cannot figure it out. I have a few ideas that could make my play better, tell me what you think...
1. Read flop texture better, some flops aren't primed for a cbet when overcards miss.
1b. I do not have to cbet.
1c. If i do not cbet, then the subsequent donk by villain should be given less respect.
2. I need to fold the turn to a c/r. Read it somewhere on here, at this level players have to have the goods to raise the turn, they just do not think on that level yet.
3. When I get 3bet PF I need to show extreme caution postflop. Getting 3bet by the BB in a 5/10 game means much less than in this level.
What do you think? Are these correct assumptions. God DAmN Im spewing from the blinds, don't even need PT to tell me that.
However, I am playing LAGGY and loving it. In the past I was a weak timid player and it feels good to loosen the game up. Despite my blinds I am running decently at 4BB/100.
Thanks for any advice, and I know this is a tough request, try to relate it to a low low limit game, not just a blanket of advice for all limits. Assume TAGs or LOPs as I am now calling them.
