I'm definitely playing this hand for 1 bet at this table with 2 posters in front of me. But when it's 2 back to me, easy fold?

i fold. SB raises even with all those limpers, so he probably has a big PP. of course, he could also be an idiot raising with A3s, but the limp-3bet scares me a bit. i fold.

this is one of those times where a preflop check/raise is actually possible... very easy fold

This hand is a great example of why you don't want to play hands like J8s in MP ... too many people after you that can raise. With 5-way action or more, for one bet, this hand can be playable, but as soon as you have to put another bet in to see the flop, your odds aren't there. That's why it's good poker to only play speculative hands with position ... you have a much better idea of whether you are getting the proper odds to play it or not. I would say your play could have been ok given the 2 posters if the rest of the table was known to be loose and very passive pre-flop.

Definitely call for 1 bet, probably fold for 2 more.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I agree, this hand is playable for 1 sb with two posters and the blinds, but the point is you can't be sure you'll get in for that cheap. Once you come in for the first sb, then what do you do when its (a) one more back to you, (b) two more back to you? That's why just mucking it right away is the safest play, then you don't put yourself in this awkward situation to begin with.
