I'm just getting back into Omaha again and these micro-limits are complete madness. Good fun though!

UTG+2 was a donk and seemed to like re-raising with any high pair. Do I just check here, let him bet, and see what the others do, or do I lead out? I hate not having hearts in my hand, and if he bets and people call in-between, what do I do then? I think I'm around a 60/40 underdog to anyone who holds a pair with two hearts, and I'm doomed against anyone with a hand like 79TJ.

Omaha Hi Pot Limit ($0.05/$0.10)

Hero ($36.35)
UTG+1 ($20.38)
UTG+2 ($8.60)
MP1 ($9.55)
MP2 ($10.86)
CO ($6.19)
BTN ($6.20)
SB ($16.50)
BB ($8.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7 , 5 , 6 , 9 .
Hero raises to $0.35, 1 fold, UTG+2 raises to $0.80, 1 fold, MP2 calls $0.80, 3 folds, BB calls $0.70, Hero calls $0.45

Flop: ($3.25) 8 , J , 6 (4 players)
BB checks, Hero ??

A little loosish UTG preflop. I'm torn between check-calling a reasonable bet on the flop and leading out...after all, if you call a reraise pre how many better boards are you going to get?

If UTG+2 bets and everyone folds, I'd go for a check-raise.

pre is fine

from there agree with baubib, just c/f unless it's just the 3 bet goof

a lot better, this is about the worst flop we might stack off on and we can only do it vs one guy, this hand makes plenty of hands we'll play vs the whole table.

I guess it's nitpicky but I'd feel better about it if we have T987...should we be playing 9765 ahead of bad KKxx type hands UTG?
Playing big pots at small stakes.

swiggidy will become famous soon enough
(note: I never play FR)

@FR I'd snap fold this UTG pre and only raise 9865 or 9875 if you're only getting 3bet by AAxx type hands from bad players. 9765 makes very few nut type hands to be playing multi-way pots OOP with it.

Flop I would check, he's never raising you with a big pair, at you don't want the whole table coming along for the ride. You could call if everyone folds (but how often does that really happen)?

Baudib, why do you have to play 9765 or bad KKxx, utg? It's about position so there is nothing wrong playing tight when you're OOP. Especially at the micros.

I'd prefer not to play either, and that's at 6-max, but I prefer to play the big pairs if they have anything else going for them. I'm finding that position is vastly more important in omaha than hold'em but that may be due to the fact I'm not as experienced as some others. I'm playing not quite AFC but close to it on the button.

Thanks for the replies. I was reading the section on straight draws again yesterday in Hwang's book. I think I need to read it about five more times.

I would always play KKxx in FR unless the table is very aggro which is rare at FR, the regs are usually nits and there are too many short stacks.

There are lots of KKxx hands I would fold in 6 max but in FR sets are much easier/more profitable. You can get your stack in on the flop much more often because the pots are often 4+ way. plus you can't have the nuts when it comes 332 without playing KK32o!

I think even if we avoid flops where the top gaps hurts us we'll still find enough good spots here. If we had no suits I would fold.
