Back in the day (a few months ago), I played at stars, but I quit for the party network because there are more fish. Well, now that the party network (namely their skins) are now completely different, I came back to stars. I was expecting a rock fest, but there were hands like this that made me want to come back to stars permanently.
Looking back on this hand, I kept thinking "set?" but something said no...
PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A , A .
1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 4 folds, BB calls.
Flop: (6.50 SB) 5 , 2 , 4 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, BB folds, Hero 3-bets, MP2 caps, Hero calls.
Turn: (7.25 BB) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.
River: (9.25 BB) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.
Final Pot: 11.25 BB
Results in white below:
Hero has Ac As (two pair, aces and twos).
MP2 has 3h Ad (straight, five high).
Outcome: MP2 wins 11.25 BB.
PS: this isn't an "my aces were cracked" whine post... I'm actually kinda glad they got cracked... keeps me on the site

How does MP2's play here affect your future ability to win in the future?
-He is BB when you are the button.
-How often will you have position on the field after a PFR?

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
