PS 100PL
I have in the Bing blind. 4 Limpers with between $50-100 each. SB completes, I raise to $5 to jam the pot. 1 player folds, everyone else sees a flop.
About $25 in the pot, I have $95 behind but only a couple opponents cover, the rest have less than 2x pot behind.
:Jc: :Td:
I'm first to act and pot it...

This is one of those spots that you are sooo tempted to check-raise, but more often than not no one bets and one of many awful cards hits on the turn.
I'd just pot it myself.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Another line of thought, raising to $6 instead of $5 has a significant impact on this hand.
I also considered a more balanced bet of something like $15 or $20, but I figured our worst case was getting a single caller then losing the nuts on the turn. If that happens, I figured I was better off if I just potting the flop.

We could, but I still prefer betting out because people tend to give the preflop raisor less respect on flop bets.

I don't like a smaller bet because it would be giving good odds to people who have position on us.

Pretty much, a wide range of worse hands are going to give us action here and between the pre-flop juice and my bet they will have a hard time not getting all of the money into the pot.

Plus check-raise has us screwed if it's checked to the button who bets - we're forced to get rid of the dead money in the middle.
So whilst betting out may give the last two good pot odds to see a turn card, I think the dead money trapped in the middle is more important.
How out of it is my thinking?

I'll take around $50 and feel I got good value. The biggest problem with checking is the risk that it gets checked around or someone bet/folds with a feeler bet when they would have otherwise called it all down or just stuck it in.
