For a book that propagates the idea of such a high level of aggression it seems that their preflop charts are somewhat passive.

I came across this re-reading SSH in hopes of tightening up my PF play (ive been a little loose as of late) and I referred to the "tight games" chart on pg 80.

If you guys could help me out at all with your PF reccomendations Id appreciate it. I also understand that its very situation-oriented in alot of your PF decisions (general play of the table, # of prospective callers, # of limpers in the pot etc.).

I think my main problem is that im limping alot - what exactly are you raising with past MP?

Past MP?

How many people are in the pot?

If no one is in the pot you raise with every hand you would start with normally. Even Axs and small pocket pairs. It also depends on how aggressive you really want to be.

All your off-suited broadways, even low suited broadways. You want to buy the button and maybe take the blinds.

Follow the Starting Hands in the tight section and you should be fine, avoid cold calling like it seems SSH has you do a lot.

A lot of SSH's aggression comes from post flop play, where the real money is made.

In the last 1500 hands i cold called once with AQo... ive basically removed it from my game.

Ill try raising more with the hands id limp with when no one is in the pot - that seems like something I havent normally been doing.

AQo is usually a 3-bet in my book. Depends on the reads though.
