villain was passive. but, i had him squarely on the K. what else do they bet? and, felt i sucked out. so, i knew he would bet the K on river, and it was an easy c/r.

however, the question is: which is better? c/r or b/c?

Yes, not sure though...
he hasnt shown strength yet, so u may have the best hand for all u know, and some draws are forming there.
I guess c/c would be fine too, but i dont mind the turn bet.

Love the river c/r.
Turn is close... player dependent. You'd hate to check and give str8 draw or BP free card.

bet/call is usually better here guys because our opponent will certainly value bet less hands than if we lead into him.

Also, getting 3bet here would suck pretty hard.

for some reason this just hit me. so, we b/c when being 3bet would really suck. and, we c/r when we dont really mind capping or calling a 3bet?

i thought, here, the c/r would max value on the suckout because he has the lead, he definitely bets the majority of the time after raising turn w/ a K. and, the c/r allows him to bet and allows us to raise for value.

my problem with the turn donk is when it was raised, i didnt stop and think that this isnt a K anymore...its likely to be two pair WITH the K. and, that turns the river c/r into pure spew.

although, he should have 3bet me with his K8o, he was too passive...another thing i missed during the hand. he was under a 1 AF. and, turn raise should have completely shut me down into a b/c on the river, at the most aggressive, based on his passivity. i just didnt notice until AFTER the hand. famous last words.

It really depends on what your opponent needs to raise the turn. If he's doing it with draws as well as TP, MPGK type hands then I like b/c or bet/3bet on the river. If it's only TP type hands (which I suspect is true for most players at this level) then the c/r looks better to me. If he's got a better hand than ours them's the breaks.

If he's that passive, then folding the turn vs him would probably be the best way to play it. when you're behind and have to catch vs an opponent who isn't bluffing, 6-1 isn't enough to hit a 0-2-5 outer.
