I am a bit of a bezerker when it comes to posting. I can go weeks with makeing a single post then make 10 in one day.

Any here is my conundrum. I am a winner with A/9 off and A/8 off yet i am a big looser with A/10 off. What the heck is going on. Perhaps i play A/10 to strongly preflop or maybe it in positions that it ought not be played from. As it is i raise from each and every position but only call raises from LP. Personally for me the hand only shows a profit from the button-6 off the button. It averages - almost a 3rd blind from 7-9. Should Is this hand no good from Ep. I basically play the hand similar to AJ off yet AJ is a big winner for me. I have over 100 samples of each hand. Is that enough for me to say AJ good A/10 bad?

The problem with ATo is that Any AA, AK, AQ, and AJ are ahead and with 4 cards on board not hitting your A they are 50% to hit any of the 8 kickers under yours. Your probably doing exactly as you say, over playing AT and not A9 or A8. Remember even with AJ you only beat less than 50% of Ax hands, when both hitting the A.

100 hands isn't enough

What would be helpful is pull up your A9, AT hands and see why you're loosing/winning

Interesting point TJ, never considered that

What's your preflop/postflop line?

ATo I'm raising first in from middle position or better with the intent of raising the flop no matter what. Play depends on action afterward.

If it's raised at ALL preflop before it hits me I fold.

Limping if I'm not first in MP or better. Naturally making an unfortunate call if it's raised after I call (probably against ace w/ better kicker or a PP) and everyone else calls. Hoping to hit two-pair or a straight draw against two or three players, hoping for TPTK against two or less.

Should be noted that I'm 1BB/hand to 2BB/hand with this hand from the Button/CO. Just about break-even in middle position.

100 hands isn't enough for stats!!!

find your big winners and big losers. Look at your post-flop play. This is where you win/lose money. Leaks likely won't show up in stats if even if you had 1k hands of AT, but a leak may be identifiable in one HH.

Then, just click "print screen" on your keyboard, open microsoft "paint" and click "paste", then cut and paste the image you want. Save as "<pick a name>. JPEG"(not .BMP) and browse from image shack. Upload and copy paste the link to "forums" in the reply box.

Then i made an image shack account but when i try to upload the image it says unable to retrieve preferences. Also i am confussed when you say to print screen i do not want to print a physical copy of the screen out.

click on the pic again...

VPIP should not be 100% UTG/UTG+1, you probably cold-call too much from the button. Raise/fold

Yes! I was waiting for you to realize this. Thought I'd let it keep going until you bashed a minraise in a HH.

Ogre, seriously, play 1k AT hands and then talk to us. I like the fold in the first HH you showed.

That is pretty much my standard play when A/10 hits a non TP. I bet then if raised call and fold to any aggression on subsuquent streets if i do not improve. I will sometimes check call the turn and river if i am heads up versus an aggressive opponent.

Without the converter I'm not counting the bets -- but against a lot of opponents you can fold that flop in small pots.

oh, I started writing it and got to the third bullet point (I was making a list because it was so bad) before it dawned on me.

1) don't min-raise pre-flop
2) don't open ATo in EP (may still be true)
3) I don't like folding turn getting 5:1 (this is where I figured it out)

except each bullet point was a paragraph with reasoning.

Glad I could brighten up your day spenda
