Number 6 was probably my 3 hand at 2/4 and it staked me quite a bit for future errors

You can also tell how Passive I got, hand 1 was the most recent hand compared to hand 6 which was the latest.

hand 1. fine.

hand 2. even with the king showing i would check raise the flop. the guy on the button, even a pair of 8s and he will bet that. then i bet out on the turn. and if you get raised you can be pretty sure they have a king.

hand 3. with 4 flush showing on the river you maybe could have folded this.

hand 4. even with the 2 overs, i won't show respect until i get raised. i would bet the turn. and fold to a raise.

hand 5. well played i thought.

hand 6. good job catchin the bluff :P

Stop freaking out when an overcard flops, particularly when the pot is f'n huge!

1 - Well played
2 - Cap pre-flop; raise the flop too good of a chance to figure out where you're at.
3 - Well played
4 - Well played, I would be temped to over-call...
5 - Bet the flop, if raised get cute.
6 - Bet the flop!

I agree with you there, this has to be the worst QQ hand i've played in some time. I dont even know what was going through my mind.

Yeah, this is just a good example of me not being able to fold a quality hand, even when i know what he has. PT had this guy as a Tight-Aggressive and i assumed he was trying to steal the blind, which he was trying to do. Once that A turned i knew i was Fubared. Still couldn't lay it down...damn.

If there were more players in this hand I would normally do so in order to build the pot. But if I were to bet here wouldn't I have most likely lost out on the extra bet on the Turn? Is the risk of him taking the free card not worth the opportunity of the extra bet?

I would bet here because I would bet any 2 cards here HU after a PFR. I see it as a balance issue. Hence I expect worse hands to call/raise and I like to give them the chance. Free cards aren't a concern with a flopped boat.

fnord, you say bet out for the last hand...isn't it worthwhile to try for the check raise to drive out gutshots, kings with weak kickers, and flush drawers?

Yeah, but with no clear indication of who is going to bet, you may as well fire away to avoid having it get checked around.

Even though your win rate wasn't that great. Six QQs in 275 hands is a pretty hot run of cards.

I was also +$ with QQ although i lost 4 of them. You make a lot more money winning with high PPs than you do when you lose with them. Play aggresively.

I agree with Fnord here. I think risk is too high to have it checked around - theres no reason not to think you have 2nd best hand (if not best) in that situation. The other reason I like to bet out is hoping to get raised, it really helps in placing people on their hands more accurately, earlier.

If QQ is the second best hand, you're in a lot of trouble. Yeah, the best way to find out is to bet.

Yea youre right, the way I put that came out weird. I meant that betting is a good way to find out if you actually have second best hand. No reason to throw away QQ without REALLY knowing if youre beat.
