UTG looks sane, if a bit passive. Did I go one raise too many times here? The check/3-bet is almost always the goods, but how good do I need to be? For what it's worth, I would have laid down a hand like AK or maybe A9 on the flop or certainly the turn.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Fnord is UTG+1 with J, J.
UTG calls, Fnord raises, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (12 SB) 9, 4, 2 (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Fnord bets, MP2 folds, CO raises, SB folds, BB folds, UTG 3-bets, Fnord caps, CO calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (12 BB) 6 (3 players)
UTG bets, Fnord raises, CO folds, UTG 3-bets, Fnord calls.

River: (18 BB) 8 (2 players)
UTG bets, Fnord calls.

Final Pot: 20 BB

UTG check/3-bets an innocent looking flop and then leads the turn after you capped, he has you beat most of the time here.

I would just call down after he leads the turn. I know the pot is big so the desire to protect is great but I think he has you beat here too often and you risk getting 3-bet.

Umm this looks like a sneaky AA/KK maybe QQ or a flopped set depending on if the player would limp UTG with those kinds of hands getting cute hoping for a goot flop or spiking a set...

I don't mind the flop cap, but when he leads the turn, call down if you plan on seeing a showdown. At the river, the only hand you could possibly see that you beat is TT.

UTG check / 3bet screams set to me.

He leads the turn after you cap the flop, I think your in too much trouble to raise the turn.

This might be weak, but I have to think that you can safely fold for 2 more small bets on the flop. If you're going to stay in the hand I'd say just call down, but barring a read that says otherwise, I'm reasonably certain you're drawing to 2 outs.
