i have never really played limit before. how do you play small pairs, do you have set odds to call behind a raise? we cannot count on stacking somone can we?
Ex.
6 handed .5/1 LHE
UTG raises to 1
folded to me on the button with 66, do I have odds to call?
what if I am oop in the sb?

a) ur obviously set hunting still, ur hoping to get into pots with 3+ other players.
b) Behind a raise I only call if 2+ other players have called it, otherwise I fold. (obviously everything is situation wise and I dont live and die by a certain number of players)
c) In that situation i fold, and then fold in the sb

rule of thumb...you need 5:1 to call pf.
you just dont get paid large enough sums like you do in NL to call raises HU. you need others in the pot. and, you would be tempted to call 2 bets cold in limit b/c it announces you could get a lot of money out of the RRer. in limit, it rarely works that way because your villain can just check/call you down for a whopping 2.5 big bets. makes it extremely hard to set hunt profitably because the bets are "limited."

LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

fold ep call in lp and mp geting 4-1 or better. I think 5-1 is a little tight but thats fine to. You call also raise first in from the button if the blinds are on the weak tight side.
