$10/$20 Limit Holdem Ring Game - 5 players
Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with 3 A
UTG folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero checks.
Flop: 3 K 3 (3SB, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero calls.
Turn: 9 (2.5BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero raises, CO calls.
River: 2 (6.5BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.
Ok, so my thought on the flop was that I didn't want the CO to raise out the SB. But when the SB folded to a single bet, I didn't want to C/R and show too much strength. That is why I waited until the turn to C/R.
Otherwise, if it was heads up... I probably would have bet out and hoped for the CO to raise. Then I probably would have called and C/R the turn.
Thoughts on these lines? Right? Wrong?
Thanks!!

pretty standard. The only problem with check/calling the flop is you don't know that the CO will put a bet in

I guess I didn't even need to post this question.... because I figured I that would be the biggest concern.
The CO bet the flop about 57 percent to the time. So, I was thinking that when checked to, by the blinds, with position, he would probably bet.
What I think is more of an issues is that I don't know that I should give him as much credit for possibly raising my bet as I did. With liming it, I think that chance is small.
So, I think that there was less chance of him raising my bet that there was of him checking behind.
However, when they have weak holdings:
If I bet out... everyojne may fold. But f I check, then the CO checkes behind on this board, I'm not to worried with this board(thinking they may have folded to a bet, but now have a chance to catch enough of a peice to call down with).
And when one has strong holdings:
The CO will most likely bet, or raising a bet. If he raises a bet, he will probably scare out the SB. And I could re-raise him, but this will probably result in getting less bets out of him than if I only called and c/r the turn. If he bets out, the SB may call the flop, and possibily the turn (at which time I could raise them both).
I was thinking this primarily depends on wether the CO would bet out or not (either result I didn't think was too terrible). But with him betting the flop fairly often, I thought this was the best move.
But in hinsight, I think my mistake was only being concerned with whether he would bet the flop. I think my biggest concern should have been would he bet the turn (was he was betting to bluff and pick up a free river card, or would he bet again on the river). I am less certain of that answer......
More thoughts???
Thanks!
