6-max limit. I am dealt [ Kd Kc ]. I raise and only the big blind calls. Flop is [ Qd, 8h, Jc ]. Big blind bets. Raise here, or wait until the turn to raise? I usually don't slowplay overpairs, but I wasn't sure what to do in this case.

Because of the coordinated board (possible straight) I would raise to protect your hand. If he calls, its likely he hit that Q and has a weak-marginal kicker. If he reraises id expect him to have QJ or Q8, probably suited. Theres inside chance that if he reraises that he has T9s, which is a hand I see called with often in 6max games ive been playing.

Either way, I think you have to raise here to protect your hand because you are probably ahead.

Definitely raise, gotta either make the drawing hands pay to try to catch, or chunk them out altogether.

deja vu... i got heads up vs the BB last week holding JJ and flopped 89Q. called her down and she had JT. seems inconceivable but these things happen. at least yours is an overpair, go ahead and raise and hope the BB doesn't re-raise. slowplaying is wrong in this spot.

LOL! MP3's play is wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin. All I can say is, he got what he deserved.
