I wouldn't have.... nor do I think reraising the turn is smart... who are you beating here? AT?

Is reraising AQo from an UTG raiser a good idea? I usally let that go, although it looks like you've got a very LAggy table.

Did SB have pocket 6s. I wouldnt even raise the river..just call. but then maybe i am too weak.
based on turn action, I suspect SB filled up his set to full house rather than having trip aces....maybe i am worrying too much about monster under the bed...but if SB is not worried about you
(who reraised before the flop..thus could have AK or AQ...then that means he beats you).

just my 2 cents

it's hard to imagine someone cold calling 3bets w/66(so stupid) or w/JJ(so weak) especially with his PFR% of 13.

cold calling means nothing to these donks when all they see is potential (and when they have money already in the pot from the blinds). They're only playing their cards, not the situation.

"66, I can flop a set!"
"A6s, that can make a flush!"
"AJ is a great hand, what's being dominated?"

Ax

I like the turn 3-bet, once he caps and it's heads-up to the river calling is probably best.

It was 3 bets when it got to him. He'll probably still play lots of crap, but won't cap into strength unless he's a "cap it for fun" kind of guy.

Yup, i was expecting that to be the general answer(calling the river).
Anyway, for the record, he had JJ

My first thought was cap the river, but it probably makes sense to slow down due to the turn cap.

when i first read this I assumed the preflop UTG raiser was the same person at the showdown. Having the SB involved makes Ax much more possible.

Had the UTG shown you a raise on the turn do you 3-bet? This is why I questioned AT being the best hand you're betting at this point (or AQ for the tie)

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
