Ok, I raise preflop UTG with pocket Jacks, everyone calls, 8 callers. Flop comes 9,3,3 rainbow, I bet, UTG+3 raises, 5 callers. Turn card 6, I check, UTG+3 bets, button calls, back to me and I fold, thinking trip 3s. River card King, UTG+3 bets, button calls, UTG+3 turns over nines and sixes. So obviously I made a bad fold here.
Now how should I have played this pot, I'm thinking if I just call down to the river, I don't really have any information, even though I would've won this pot, should I have raised him on the turn and then folded to a reraise if he really had trips, should I have bet out on the turn?
What's the best way to play this hand?
I am a beginner as you can see.

3-bet the flop.
Don't fold good hands in big pots. If he's got a 3, I'm sucking out or paying it off.

say I 3-bet the flop, do I bet out on the turn, and the river as well, say in that situation I bet out on the turn and he reraises me, am I safe to fold then, or do I still call down to the river?

Don't give up the lead, you have an overpair! If you get raised again, call-down unless you know the player so well you MUST be beat, or if you're facing something like a raise + re-raise.
Count the pot and consider just how often you must be on 2 outs for a fold to be correct here.
