Hello
This is my 1st post, and let me tell you that I am still with the fish, as you probably can say by my question.

I was dealt this hand:
AcRs

I raised and 4 more players saw the flop:
Jh7h3d

someone raised and I called. 2 players folded.
Turn:
Td

someone raised and I folded.
River, of course:
As

someone won the pot with RJ

My question is:
I think I played this hand incorrectly. In my mind I should have folded on the pot, or called to the river!!!

What could the best plays here?

Thx for the advice,
Rui

What is an Rs? R = Roi = King?

You probably needed to call the turn bet since you picked up a gutshot straight draw, giving you somewhere between 7 to 10 outs (turns out to be 7 in this case, though you couldn't know that). By my count there were probably 6 BB in the pot on the turn, so you had pot odds to call.

if R=rag, then you never should even limp in preflop with ace-rag, much less raise. on the flop you are being asked to pay 2 bets to chase 3 outs. come on, don't be ridiculous.

ahh, so you had AK... much better.

now on the flop and turn you said "someone raised," but i'm guessing you meant "someone bet." raise means two bets; bet means one. major difference.

if it was only one bet to call the flop, then you had correct odds to draw to the 3 aces and 3 kings.

if it was also one bet to call the turn, then you also had correct odds to draw to the 3 aces, 3 kings, and 4 queens.

of course, catching a king would have cost you a lot of chips vs KJ.
