Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, A.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, MP2 raises, 4 folds, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 7, A, 8 (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, MP2 caps, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (9.25 BB) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises, UTG+2 folds, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls.

River: (15.25 BB) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 7d Ad (two pair, aces and sevens).
MP2 has Ac Qh (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 17.25 BB.



The turn had me worried and the river terrified really.

I would cap the turn and bet/call the river.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

i think you played it just fine. every possible draw just came on the river. if you bet, you have to fold to a raise. i'd rather see a showdown.

you did fine though, i'd probably wimp out on the river too
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately
