Here's a hand I played. If you can't be bothered reading the history, the gist is that I my 99 became trips on the flop but I got scared of KK when a K came on the river. My question is whether I should have reraised (and likely 4-bet) on the river anyway. I figured it was a toss up between AA and KK so it was about even, but perhaps I was definitely wrong, since QQ was plausible too... But it would've been so painful to get beaten by KK...

By the way, I only 2bet the flop because my opponent was a decent aggressive player and I wanted to make sure the bets kept coming. Maybe that was wrong?

Raise the river and call a 3bet.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Raise the river and call a 3bet.
Why? I don't understand the reason - seems no better than the other options..

Because there's only 2 hands that beat you and one of them he probably wouldn't have 3 bet preflop. You can't always be scared of KK. To me there are only 2 options: Do what demiparadigm said, or cap the river. While I think we could debate over those 2 choices, calling this river is no good.

The raise is for value. What 2 hands do you have to worry about realistically... 22 or KK. That means that someone either caught their 1 or 2 outer on the turn or river to beat you. Statistically speaking, you are ahead here so many times it's not even a question to call... automatic raise.

Also, please use the converter... it makes it easier to read
