I fold this pre-flop.

Consider checking the turn for a cheap showdow, as you're in "way ahead or way behind" territory.

I think you're smoked, but 6 max shows you silly hands so often I wouldn't wager much on it.

it was a close decision....the kicker was decent, and i was hoping to get both blinds to call so i get decent implied odds for my flush. easy fold if CO didn't call however...

My gut reaction is that UTG has KQspades or KJspades, based on the UTG raise and the latter check/raise on the turn spade.

But, that seems so obvious I guess that he had soemthing else.

PS. You say laying down your A8s would be easy if CO doesn't call. Well, you have more discipline than me - that would be a tough laydown, as many shorthanded players don't respect position, and overvalue their hands in SH play. I'd have to know mre about the player UTG. In particular, is he tight..
