I'm looking for opinions on what to do when I pick up a good draw on the turn against several opponents when everyone checked the flop. I'd like some general comments on this situation, but I'll give an example below to show what I mean.

Assume I'm playing against unknowns (at 2/4 6-max)

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with Q 5
UTG calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: 7 2 3 (4SB, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, Button checks.

Turn: 4 (2BB, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero ???

Is a turn semi-bluff usually a good idea here? Check/call instead? Or is the correct move too dependent upon the specifics of the other players involved to make a good generalization?

IF no one has shown any strength, and you have a hand which is strong enough to call a bet, and there is a chance you would win the pot with that bet, it is usually better to bet than check call.
Each situation is different, though. This particular hand has little chance of being won with a bet, so checking and hoping it is checked through may be a better option. Table texture and dynamics should play a large part in your decision.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

This is a great spot for a semi-bluff actually because you have a flush draw and OESD, and coming out of the blinds they have to respect that you may have just hit a straight or a flush. Someone with overcards or a low pair will have a hard time calling your bet.

i've even raised in spots like that (with A-x for example) to induce a fold. You gotta know your opponent
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately
