Upon Demi's suggestion in my other recent thread, I continued playing at 0.25/0.50. Had a little more success this time around, though still some bad luck here and there. I also stopped multi-tabling for the new limit. I've noticed it has made me worry less about losing money, and I think through my hands better. Once again, 'rilla's bankroll post is right, since multi-tabling at a new limit was risking more than 10% of my BR, and when I started going into this downswing, it scared me and I started playing passive on a couple hands.

Anyway, on to some hands.

Hand #1:

UTG+1 is 20/5/1.80 after 20 hands (He only had about 5 hands when I played him though)

I call the turn raise to show I can't be pushed off the hand easily, and when he fires into me on the river, I give him credit for the ace. Standard, or should I have made the loose call?

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, J.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 9.70 BB

Hand #2:

MP3 is 44/6/0.86
Button is 53/5/0.43

Stupid weak turn play by me. I was frustrated that my two-pair got counter-fitted, but I should have bet the turn anyway, since only a queen or a higher pocket pair beat me still. I yelled at myself for this bad play right after I made it.

MP1 is 77/0/0.82

Didn't think I had the best hand on the flop, but I felt I was drawing live, although spiking two pair puts me at risk for losing to a straight now that I look back at this. Probably means I was drawing to 6.5 outs. Was just calling for improvement the best way to approach this one?

Hand #4

BB is 44/2/3.15
UTG is 77/0/0.82

*sigh* Still trying to figure out when to go into calldown mode. I probably should have capped the flop and seen what happened on the turn.

If I cap the flop, then I am bet into on the turn, what do you do? Raising just doesn't seem right here given what went down. I guess maybe calling down is necessary unless four to a flush hits the board.

Hand #5:

MP3 is 22/7/2.08

Sort of a general question with this hand. I've had others like it happen. A player suddenly comes to life on the river on a relatively insignificant card (although not completely in this case). I know it's basically the difference of one bet, but when do you give credit? I'm guessing if the pot is large, make them show you the better hand, but if the pot is small to moderate, laying down isn't terrible.

hand 1: fold turn

hand 2:bet the turn, fold if raised, I check/fold river

hand 3:check/fold flop

hand 4: I say cap the flop, check/call turn and river here.

hand 5: lines like this always confuse me too, and someone else can probably answer this one better than I can. I think you played it fine. wouldn't be too suprised if MP3 tables JQ/KT though, most likely JQ
