I folded to the st8 board, putting CO on AK. Did I play this right or should I have 3-bet capped every street?

Meh. I guess I play it the same, though I probably c/r the turn and see what he does. If he threebets I'll call down, at least you have a chance of getting MP3 out.

That hand went to shit.

I don't think you can put CO on exactly AK (especially since you have two of the aces in your hand and he didn't 3-bet preflop), but by the time betting gets to you on the river I think CO has you beat with something, though still not necessarily with AK. Actually I would have put him on JQ by the river. (Though at the microlimits can you really put anyone on anything?...)

But by the beginning of the turn there's still a good chance you're ahead, and I like euphoricism's line of check-raising the turn because it might push MP3 out (though at the microlimits can you really push anyone off any hand?...). If CO re-raises call down to showdown partly because the pot is big enough that you don't have to win often to make calling down correct, but also because you have some outs on the turn (if he has AK you have 3 K = 3 outs to split, if he has two pair you have 3 x 2 board pairs + 2 A + 4 K = 12 outs to win, if he has a set you have 2 A + 4 K = 6 outs to win).

at micro-limits, 8.5 to one is just about good enough to call down the river. I've seen lots of people play AQ and KQ just like CO. I've also seen a busted straight draw play just like CO ... betting the turn without odds and desperation bluffing the river. The only thing that makes me want to fold is MP1 suddenly deciding to bet. Sounds like 55 to me.

I'm reading TOP right now and i think there is a section that applies to this hand.

Basically, Sklansky says that even if you suspect you are behind in a multiway pot, eliminating other people from the hand can increase you chances of winning. For this reason I say to c/r the turn in the hopes of punishing calling station mp3 for staying in. Also, if mp3 folds, it will increase your chances of winning against hands like 2 pair if u hit one of ur 11ish outs.

AKo is a possible hand also not many loose passives - Argo will 3 bet with it PF, but will no way fold it on that flop... maybe even push with two OC and the OESD...
