I've seen this from time to time when people hold AA, they check the flop allowing their opposition to "catch up." Too bad for him, I ran the same line against him. Anyone else notice this AA play happening quite frequently?

If he really had AA you probably missed 2 or 3bb...

I thought about that, but I realized that whether or not I raised the turn or river, the result would be the same, it'd get to a 3bet then a call down. Then again, I was really hoping he would bet the flop with a cbet... oh well, I'm surprised the stop and go actually got a 2nd raise

Yes but you didn't give your opponent the chance to really make some drasticly large mistakes in this hand.

3bet the turn, give them the CHANCE to cap the turn, or even the chance to call and raise you on the river too.

You said it yourself, your suprised they raised you on the river.

You call his raise and donk the river
4 bets if he doesn't raise

you call his raise and CR the river
he calls
8 bets

you call the raise and wiff the river cr
4 bets

you call the turn raise
bet/raise/re-raise the river
10 bets

you 3 bet the turn, they call
you bet the river they call.
8 bets

you 3bet, he caps
you lead the river he calls
10 bets

you 3bet, he caps
you lead the river he raises, you 3bet he calls
14 bets

I hope those are right, just did them faily quickly

If you average out the lines from 3betting the turn as opposed to calling 3betting has a higher

I'm sure i'm missing a few lines or whatever, but what your really doing is giving your opponent a chance to make a really big mistake on the turn AND river.

that's nice, but the lines are not equally likely

Your right, but what is LHE, but making less mistakes than your opponent, and forcing your opponents to make mistakes.

I'm more for having them make mistakes on the turn + river

3betting the turn and leading the river will most likely force them to call down.

It not the most popular line in lower stakes but, people DO raise you on the turn w/ position then take the free SD.

but I agree on raising as much as possible in this situation because they won't expect you to be this ridiculously strong

you are getting a call down here
